Description

Welcome to the inaugural Walk, Run, & Rest for Hidradenitis Suppurativa Awareness, hosted by Hope for HS!

Every year, in the first full week of June, the Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) world comes together to raise awareness.  This year, for the first time ever, we can celebrate global HS Awareness Week with the time-honored tradition of an awareness run!  But HS is a painful, progressive, debilitating disease that - in severe cases - takes the ability to walk and run away from the person living with it.  So we also Rest for HS - to highlight what this disease can take away and to allow those of us most dedicated to this cause (the people actually living with HS) to participate in a classic way to raise awareness.

If you're not familiar with Hidradenitis Suppurativa, please take a moment to learn about this disease.  HS is a common affliction that is not commonly spoken about.  You may recognize symptoms of HS in yourself or loved ones, but have never gotten the proper diagnosis.

The swag!

The fruits of your labor.  Your street cred.  A shiny for your collection.  Or maybe the real reason you're here.  Whatever your motivation, every participant - whether you Walk, Run, or Rest for Hidradenitis Suppurativa Awareness, will earn this adorable sloth medal as a reminder to prioritize your rest!

If you'd like to commemorate the event with a t-shirt, you absolutely can!  Show how much you value rest with a super soft high-quality t-shirt, available in sizes S-4XL!

And if you still need more options to raise awareness for Hidradenitis Suppurativa, consider purchasing a premium metal & enamel Awareness Ribbon Lapel Pin.  With your race registration, we offer it at a discount.  Normally we sell this pin for $10, but you can purchase it with your registration for only $7.50
