Description
The Eagle 5k is a run/walk set up by me (Brody Collins) to help raise money for my Eagle Scout Project.
Finishing metals awarded to all participants.
I decided to build a pavilion at Hamlin Township Park for my Eagle project, because my Grandfather planted the grass for the soccer fields when the park first opened and I thought this would be a good way to continue his legacy. The township would like more people to utilize the park and they think a pavilion close to the parking lot is a needed addition.
Since the inception of this project building materials have more than tripled making the fundraising portion of this project extremely difficult. So rather than just asking people and businesses for donations I decided to put on this event to raise money and provide great exposure for the park. This is also a great way for all of us in the community to get out and do something healthy.
