Hugo and Oneka Family Fun Run

There will be a 5K event for individuals or families to walk or run.  Following the 5K, a children's mile race will take place.  The mile race course is 2 laps around a 1/2 mile loop; it is optional if your child does 1 or 2 loops.  Each child will receive an award at the finish line.  While eating a snack provided, the Bazillions Band will finish the event with a family-focused concert. 

Hugo and Oneka Elementary Schools are sponsoring this event to bring the community together, emphasize the importance of physical fitness to our students, and to raise money to continue our "Trouble Free Playground" recess program.  We have found that this program (which teaches students self-responsiblity, guides inclusive play, and makes recess a time to build social skills) is in need of more recess kits to make this program successful.
