Shamrock Shuffle 5K

It's that time of year again to gear up for our Shamrock Shuffle! 

Though, our Gobble Wobble was transitioned to virtual. This doesn't mean we should lose hope for future events! 

With this being our 4th annual event, we can't be any more ready for the event to arrive. Given that restrictions are lifted and we can continue to dine indoors, we are excited to announce that the event will again end at Brau Brother's Brewery! The race will also be chipped timed, so count on VERY accurate timing! 

We guarantee a good time, accurate results, and with any luck an "in - person" event! 

If we do run into restriction, we will still go ahead with a virtual race. All runners will still receive all of the perks of an in-person event, but at the comfort of your own home! 

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

There will be a shuttle bus and van that will escort participants only from Brau Brother’s Brewery to the YMCA prior to the start of the race. Each shuttle will have a 20 person capacity. Until further notice, those riding the bus will be required to wear a facemask during the duration of the ride. To sign up for the shuttle, participants MUST email the race director at mkonrad@marshallareaymca.org before March 1st. 

Pricing Information: 

• January 1 - 31: $25
• February 1 - 28: $30
• March 1 - 20: $35                         

Packet Pick Up Informaiton

• Pick Up will be organized between March 18th, and 19th by Last Name. 
• Pick Up will be from 5:30 - 7:30 each night.
• To avoid congestion of lines, participants will also be given recommended pick up times. 
• Race packets WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE BEFORE 5:30 pm.
• You CAN have someone pick up your packet for you if you are unable to.
• Day of Check In and Pick Up will occur from 9:30 - 10:15 AM on Saturday, March 20th (The morning of the race).

Other Important Information

• The Marshall Area YMCA will be open during its normal hours. The Lobby and Gymnasium will be available to warm up and wait for the race. 
• There are bathrooms and locker rooms available for use.
• There are Long sleeved T-shirts for those who did not register before the March 1st deadline, but these will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis.
• The Race is Chipped Timed
• Food and Beverage will Be Served at Brau Brother's Brewery. All participants will receive 1 Free Beverage of their choice. 
• There will be a water available at the half way point in the race. 
• The route will be guided by volunteers. Please do not make any turns until a volunteer guides you! 
• Portions of the race will be salted and cleared if necessary. However, roads are not closed, so please be aware of your surroundings at all times! 
• The Race will begin at 10:30 AM. Please line up for the race around 10:25 AM.
• Walkers, strollers, and dogs on leashes are welcome. If you plan to walk the race, please be courteous of your fellow participants and line up near the back of the chute. This will allow those running for personal bests to get out of the chute quickly.
• The finish will be at the entrance of Brau Brother's Brewery. 
• Please tag the YMCA, and let us be able to celebrate your accomplishment together!
• The Virtual Race does not include a Race Bag. It does include a Long - Sleeved T!
