Run with the Eagles

The Joplin Schools Foundation has identified several areas of need for the students and teachers of the Joplin School district.  To fund these projects, we are excited to support "Run for the Eagles," a dash around the track at the high school and a run through the city of Joplin.  The following projects, if funded would have a large impact on our students.

Pre-K/Elementary - Organized field trips designed to teach and enrich our students about the government, business, culture, and history of Joplin.  The financial need for this area would be approximately $6,000.  This "Know Joplin" endeavor would help foster a greater sense of community pride in the students.

Middle School - Mobile chrome computer carts for both North and East Middle School.  These carts would allow each school to change the current stationary labs into new classrooms needed for other use while still providing both students and teachers with the technology tools to enhance classroom instruction.  The cost would be $27,000 per school for a total of $54,000.

High School - The committee would like to increase the number of scholarships for post graduate studies for students who meet established criteria.  These scholarships would be awarded for both college and trade schools.  The cost would be approximately $25,000.
