$5 5k for Why Not Now?

The next $5 5K is set for Saturday, September 7 at 8 am, from RunStrong HQ! September’s beneficiary is Why Not Now? Why Not Now is an organization in the Jackson Metro Area whose mission is to help those less fortunate. On Sundays around noon, you’ll find them serving lunch to the homeless population at Poindexter Park in Jackson. They also use their email database to communicate to their followers when there is a need in their community for anything from socks, water, or food to school supplies, groceries, or covering bills for people who have fallen on hard times. Additionally, they’ll be providing Christmas for some patients at Children’s of Mississippi. Every dollar received at the $5 5K will go directly to Why Not Now?.

You know the drill by now! Grab $5 and your friends and come walk or run a no pressure 5K (3.1 miles)! ALL PROCEEDS will go straight to Why Not Now?!  If you don’t want to do the whole 5K, you can turn around and head back at any point. You can even just come for support and don’t have to walk a step! 

Stick around after the 5K for a pancake breakfast for $10, also benefitting Why Not Now?.

Online registration closes Thursday, September 5. As always, walk up signup at the event is available and will start at 7:15 am event day!
