Asheville Turkey Trot 2024

The 24th Annual Asheville Turkey Trot 5K and Gobble Wobble 1 Mile Fun Run presented by Jus’ Running is Thanksgiving Day- Thursday, November 28, 2024. Portions of the proceeds will be donated to MANNA Food Bank.  Early packet pickup will be Wednesday November 27 from 3:00 pm until 6 pm at Asheville High School BACK ENTRANCE located at 173 Victoria Rd, Asheville NC 28801. There will be late registration there also. Keep in mind shirts aren't guaranteed during late registration. If not registered by November 3 the shirts and sizes may not be available. Race day packet pick up will be at Pack Square Park from 7am until 8:30am. The race starts on Woodfin St in front of the Downtown YMCA and finishes at Pack Square Park. Please note, due to restrictions NO DOGS/ PETS are allowed. Please don't bring them. The course is not completely closed so this is for safety purposes. Plus, pets don't always react around crowds the same as they do at home. Just be courteous. Race timing will be provided by Right on Time Productions.  Our region has experienced great devastation from Hurricane Helene but this race is still planned.  We have added a Donate option to give towards others who have lost much or all, who would otherwise not be able to take part in this year's race. TURN BY TURN DIRECTIONS

1.       Race starts on Woodfin Street in front of the downtown YMCA

2.       Head toward Central Ave, turn right.

3.       To the top of the hill, turn right on E. Chestnut St.

4.       Turn left on Charlotte

5.       Follow Charlotte St to Evelyn Place, turn left

6.       Follow Evelyn place, crossing Edwin/Kimberly to Murdock St, turn left onto Murdock

7.       Follow Murdock to Hillside St, tun right

8.       Hillside to N. Liberty, turn left.

9.       Follow Liberty, crossing Chestnut St to Orange St, turn left

10.   Follow Orange to Central Ave., turn right onto Central

11.   Follow Central Ave down to Woodfin St, turn left on Woodfin

12.   Follow Woodfin which changes name to Oak St. to the traffic circle

13.   Turn right onto College St.

14.   Finish is approximately .1 mile on the left at City/County Plaza
