Description
Meals on Wheels Asheville Buncombe County (MOWabc) is celebrating 45 years serving homebound seniors! Join us throughout May 2021 for our first-ever Virtual Movement Event! Walk, run, bike, or roll at your own pace and enter your progress online to move along our routes while learning more about the history of MOWabc, current facts about our service and upcoming goals we have for the future.
When you register, you'll see a virtual map that represents our delivery routes around Buncombe County. You'll have the option to sign up for our virtual 5k, 10k, Marathon, or (for the ultimate challenge) 660 Mile Challenge, which represents the total square mileage we serve in Buncombe County! We encourage families, friends, teams or offices to take on the 660 Mega Mile Challenge and break up the mileage!
Every participant will receive a Meals on Wheels T-Shirt and access to social media sharing features throughout May 2021.
