So here is our new (revised/revised/revised) plans
We are definitely not letting the Virus win and are adding an additional, though we are bowing to sensible virtual rules.
During October
Saturday, October 31 – Flight of the Vampire – everyone will be really fed up by then and this will probably be an amazing number of people.
All the courses start and finish at the New Depot in downtown Brevard on Railroad Ave.
The new courses treat the runners to a mix of historic homes, the railroad arts district, farm land and the scenic beauty of the Sylvan Valley and the surrounding mountains.

RACE SHIRTS
Our awesome race shirts will be included for free in every registration (in limited sizes/quantities) through race day!
PACKET PICKUP & REGISTRATION
October 30th (day before the race)
There will be a packet pickup from 4:00pm - 6:00pm on the plaza on South Broad street (outside Quixote). In the event of rain, packet pickup will be in the old hotel (use 23 S Broad St, Brevard, NC 28712) next door.
October 31st (race morning)
Same day packet pickup/registration begins at 7:00am and will take place next to the start/finish line of the race. Registration will close entirely at 8:40am.
REGISTRATION DISCOUNTS
Discounts will automatically apply to your registration if you qualify for one of the following categories. After October 4, 2020 at midnight, there will be no discounted registrations, and race shirts will no longer be included.
Categories:
- Under 18 years old ($5 off)
- Over 65 years old ($5 off)
- Active Military and Veterans ($20 off)
- Family Plan (registering 4 family members at once) ($75)
CASH PRIZES
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top finishers in the 5k, and also to the winners of this year's costume contest! The official awards categories are listed below.
