Fall 2021 Kids 5K - Cary

Fall 2021 Kids 5K run training in Cary is brought to you by Triangle Run Smart Training, presented by: Pace Yourself Run Company and The Running PTs.  Class is 8 weeks long, meeting once per week, and is geared toward kids aged 7-14 years old.  The goal of the class is to have fun, get healthy, and work their run endurance up to running a 5K at the end of the season.  ALL levels & paces are welcome!  Kids will be grouped in smaller pace groups after a timed mile so they can train with similar paces.  We will group the older, more experienced runners together, who have run 5Ks before, and they can challenge each other to improve their time.

The class will be 8 weeks long, with 1 coached group workout per week. The coached group run is in person.  Class will be capped at 25 registrants.  Coach, volunteers, & participants will be asked to have a mask with them during class if needed (if social distance cannot be maintained for any reason), but will not be required to work out in a mask while spaced out.

Cost of the class is $50.

If you have financial difficulty in affording a training class, please contact us.  We have a donation program that can help out.

Cost includes: 8 weeks of 1 coached workout per week, a season training plan with suggested workouts on non-class days as well, 20% off discount at Pace Yourself Run Company (some restrictions apply), educational seminars coordinated by The Running PTs, and a training shirt.

Coach Patti Tiernan will coach this class.

Program dates: August 25, 2021 - October 13, 2021.  1 class per week: Wednesdays 6-7pm.  Class will be capped at 25 registrations.  The class will meet at Symphony Lake by Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary (8001 Regency Parkway, Cary, NC 27518).
