CPI Security Charlotte Turkey Trot

Listed as one of the 30 Best Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trots in America, the Charlotte Turkey Trot celebrates its 35th year in 2023!

Join us on Thanksgiving Day morning and choose from several fun options to participate including an 8K Run, a 5K Run/Walk, a 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk, and a Tot Trot. Starting and finishing at the SouthPark Mall, the largest road race (9,000+) in North Carolina is a homecoming destination for extended families, and old classmates, and a place to meet and celebrate with neighbors. The community comes together for the official Charlotte kick-off to the holiday season!

 35th Anniversary Event Upgrades:

• Soft cotton tri-blend long-sleeve event T-shirts
• Finishers medals for ALL races, including the Harris Teeter Tot Trot
• Multiple Registration and Neighborhood Packet Pick-Up Opportunities – SouthPark, DICK’s locations in Pineville, Mathews, and Huntersville
• Suffolk Punch Brewery open race morning 7am – 11am with a special menu and full bar
• Start line upgrades including a walkers’ corral, emcee, and local TV coverage by QC News
• Towne Bank Turn cheer section for the final sprint to the finish (or walk to the finish – your choice)

  • Our classic Turkey trophies for overall winners and Richardson brand trucker hats for age group awards
  • Suffolk Punch Brewery and Legion Brewery complimentary beer with registration for runners over 21 (please bring an ID)
  • Free hot chocolate courtesy of Novant Health
  • Pridemore Compass sponsored Costume Contest with individual and group prizes
  • Harris Teeter Tot Trot is FREE and will run at your convenience from 8:30 am – 9:30. Must register to guarantee a race bib and medal
  • Harris Teeter post-race runners goodies including water, granola bar, and banana
• Partnering with CMPD Explorers Holiday Toy Drive as our primary beneficiary with all registration events and Thanksgiving morning staged as collection opportunities to help local children in need
