What is Cauvery Calling?
Cauvery Calling is a first of its kind campaign, setting the standard for how India’s rivers – the country’s lifelines – can be revitalized. It will initiate the revitalization of Cauvery river and transform the lives of 84 million people.
What Cauvery Calling Will Achieve?
- Plant 2.42 billion trees in Cauvery basin
- Increase water retnention in Cauvery basin by an estimated 40%
- Dramatically improve farmers wealth five-fold in five years.
Cauvery Calling 5k Fundraiser Event
This 5k run is being organized to raise funds for Tree Plantations that is being planned in the Cauvery basin. Each tree sapling costs $0.70 (USD). The goal of the fundraiser event is to donate at least 10,000 trees or $7,000.

Trail Race
The course begins at the shelter and goes for a brief moment along the road. Then it meanders through the trails, up and down the short rolling hills. The trail is mostly wide, easy gravel or hard packed dirt. There is a small winding section of single track about halfway through. The climax towards the end, is an out-and-back that reveals a magnificent view of the lake. Lastly, it’s back to the Finish line!
To honor the environment and reduce waste, this will be a CUPLESS race. There will be water at the Start/Finish line in the shelter if needed. Please bring your own water bottle to bring on the run if you feel you will need it.

Awards will be presented to the fastest Male and Female finishers in the following categories:
Overall, 8-14, 15-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51 & up
