Welcome to the inaugural Pride In Motion 5K and Fun Run!
This is a fundraising event for the Mooresville High School marching band and their 2020 season. In 2019, the band won 4 grand championships with their reIMAGINE program. The exceptional band staff not only puts on a great program, but they give the students a great work / study ethic, the opportunity to make great friends, and a safe haven when needed. The band performs at Mooresville High football games, town parades and concerts, and at the newly opened MGSD Performing Arts Center. Throughout the year, various expenses arise that require the band students to raise money for uniform cleanings, transportation for competitions, instrument repairs and purchase of the show and props…to name a few. Mooresville High School also hosts the Blue Devil Classic where great bands from all over the area demonstrate amazing musicianship, marching, and creativity as they compete. 2020 will be the 40th anniversary of this grand event.
Our 1st race is going to be a great one! Entrants will receive a race T-shirt commemorating the race. The logo is being designed by one of our MHS students. Entries received after September 5th may not be guaranteed a shirt. We will also be handing out GOODY BAGS and will have a vendor fair at the start line on the track of Joe Popp Stadium. All the while, fantastic music will be played by the marching band. After the race, we will be handing out medals to the top 3 overall male and female finishers as well as the top 3 finishers in each age group (10 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59, 60 - 69, Age 70+).

Course Info
This very fun race will begin and end on the track of Joe Popp Stadium. The start / finish line is located on the 50-yard line of the field and runners will start with a 3/4 lap around the track and exit the field into the parking area and will take a sharp left up the driveway and another sharp left onto S. Magnolia Road where they will run for approximately 2 kilometers where they will take a left onto Heatherly Rd, another left onto Fieldstone Rd, and another left onto Hampton Place. Then taking a right back onto S. Magnolia, runners will return to the stadium where they will run another 3/4 lap to the finish line. This is a relatively flat course.
