Wheelchair/Adaptive Basketball with the Triad Trackers- Thursdays @ 6PM- Hanes Hosiery Community Center- 501 Reynolds Boulevard, Winston-Salem, NC 27105
Hosted by Solutions for Independence and WSRP Hanes Hosiery Community Center. This is a weekly event for anyone with a disability interested in learning to play wheelchair basketball in a team environment with the Triad Trackers.
Adaptive Tennis with Kimberley Park Tennis Association - Tuesdays @ 5PM- Lienbach Park Tennis Courts- 3635 Sally Kirk Rd NW, Winston-Salem, NC 27104
Hosted by Solutions for Independence and Kimberley Park Tennis Association. This is a weekly event for anyone with a disability interested in learning to play adaptive/wheelchair tennis.
2024 Adaptive Recreation & Healthy Living EXPO - March 16, 2024 10AM-2PM - JDL Fast Track- 2505 Empire Drive, Winston-Salem, NC 27103
Hosted by Solutions for Independence and North Carolina Assistive Technology Program. This event will offer hands on experience for individuals with disabilities of all ages to trial adaptive sports, recreation and gaming such as adaptive cycling, archery, tennis, pickleball, kayaking, gaming and more! Vendors, such as PVA, Winston Salem Recreation & Parks- Therapeutic Recreation Division, Greensboro Parks & Recreation AIR, Town of Kernersville Parks and Recreation, Kimberley Park Tennis, and Winston-Salem Thunderbirds Sled Hockey will be onsite to share information about their programs they offer to individuals with disabilities.
