Description
This is a USAT sanctioned bike handling skills clinic for beginner to intermediate cyclists and multi-sport athletes, ages 12 and up. Developing sound bike handling skills is crucial and the benefits are vast. Most endurance athletes do not make it a point to work on cycling fundamentals, rather placing all focus on increasing power and endurance on the bike. Learning and developing these skills will keep you and others safer on the road, improve your confidence on the bike, improve your strength and stability and increase your speed and efficiency on any given course, in training or a race.
This clinic will focus on:
- Building confidence with clipping into and out of your clipless pedals in any situation.
- Building confidence and the skills and abilities necessary to fuel and hydrate on the bike with ease and speed.
- Building the fundamentals to confidently ride in any situation, whether that be riding alone, in a group, in heavy traffic or in a clustered race environment.
- Building the fundamentals to maximize your efficiency on the bike, no matter the style of racing you do.
