Description
We are bringing back the Turkey Drive Pub Run in 2023! Join us on Tuesday, November 21st at 6 pm for a fun run around South Sayville ending at a local bar. First drink is on the house, we just ask that you bring a turkey (10lb. max) to donate.
If you'd like to make an additional contribution there is an option to donate money as well when you register. That money will be used to cover any shortfall in turkeys or to add other Thanksgiving food items. We'll buy this food from local grocery stores, and deliver them to the shelter ahead of Thanksgiving day. Any money or food collected above what the shelter needs will be distributed to local food pantries.
The run will be anywhere from 3-7 miles. It will not be timed as it is a fun run, meant to get runners together to log some miles, donates some turkeys and have some fun. All runners and walkers are welcomed.
Ideally, donated turkeys are a maximum of 10lbs
These turkeys are guaranteed to fit in the ovens at the shelter and are particularly helpful for this particular donation.
Help Us Feed a Local Shelter
- Distance: 3-7 miles
- Entry fee: donate a turkey (10lb max) or other Thanksgiving items
- Get a free beer, a great social evening, and the satisfaction of helping someone in need in your community
- We need at least 80 total turkeys to feed the entire family shelter

When we were younger, not much younger than today
