Safe Space CNY
Safe Space Organization is a community safe space that strives to change the conversation around mental health by educating, connecting and supporting others through a peer-to-peer network. Safe Space is a community hub with therapeutic alternatives and prevention methodology that empowers the process of healing by providing individuals with the resources to self-manage their mental health.
Fundamental Purpose: To provide a respite, a safe, peaceful place to breathe for individuals, and to educate and empower those individuals on how to self manage their mental health through creative outlets and traditional means by connecting them to community resources and other community members.
Fundamental Value: That mental health care includes an element of humanity, we must take care of one another through empathy, vulnerability and guidance.
Fundamental Goal: That everyone in the community feels that they have a sanctuary and community to find safety, connection and understanding that educates members on coping strategies, self care techniques and lifestyle changes. We strive to become a community hub of services that partners with other local medical facilities, treatment centers, non for profits and businesses to provide the best options for community members.

Syrathon
The Syracuse Parks Conservancy joins the Syracuse Parks Department to bring you Syrathon 2024! SYRATHON brings together 8 established road races, all based in the City of Syracuse and spaced throughout the calendar year, into this unique road race series! Syrathon’s eight race routes showcase Syracuse’s incredible and historic parks systems as participants journey through a number of wonderful city neighborhoods. Since 2009, the Series has encouraged, for both beginners and seasoned runners, healthful physical activity year-round, while promoting the sights and sounds of city life! In 2020 and 2021, Syrathon adapted to the challenges of Covid-19 with both virtual and in-person races, but in 2022, we are excited to return to our traditional Series with a full schedule of races!
The Syrathon Series Challenge again will challenge registered participants to accumulate at least 26.2 race miles over the course of the Series. Those who meet the challenge are known as Syrathoners, and will have earned the coveted Syrathon Medal! All registered participants receive a cool race shirt! And, there will be race day raffles for more great prizes!

2k peace Run For Brexi
Brexialee "Brexi" A. Torres Ortiz (October 7 2011 - January 16 2023)
Brexi was a 6th grade student at Stem @ Blodgett Middle School where she was an honor student, president of her class, loved math, dancing, and hugs. Brexi was everyone's cheerleader, best friend and willing to help anyone in need. She was protective of her sisters, loved family time, cooking and laughed with her whole heart. Brexi was a child full of life and will be remembered as a ray of sunshine everywhere she went. Her family and friends said that you could see how much Brexi cared about others, and she showed it every day.
