Description
Registrations have been great between in-person and virtual attendees! As of July 30, all of our in-person slots have been filled. We still welcome everyone to be a virtual attendee. Those later virtual attendees will receive their shirts and medals about 3 weeks post-event due to shipment times.
Join the Licking Heights Hornets on August 4, 2024, for our inaugural celebration of the new Licking Heights Hornets Stadium! We are raising funds to support the Licking Heights Music, PTO, and Sports programs!
The 5k race event will start at 8 AM, followed by the 1.4-mile Family Fun Run at 8:15 AM. If you are unable to attend the in-person event but would like to support the programs, please consider our virtual event which will run from August 4 through August 18!
The run will be around the flat, paved, & scenic Licking Heights campus, starting and ending on the brand-new Hornets Field!

Perks!
The first 150 registered participants who come to the Hornets Stadium concession stands on race day will receive a free ice cream from one of our sponsors, Dairy Queen of Pataskala!!!
All running will receive a high-quality race shirt with the Licking Heights Hornets 5K logo, a bib number, and a finisher medal.

Early Packet Pickup
Save time in line on race day and stop by Columbus Running Company's Pickerington location (1250 Hill Rd N 43147) on August 3, 2024. Get your race gear early, and visit with the running and walking experts at the CRC. Check out the sunglasses to keep your eyes shaded on race day. Race day pickup will also be available at the event beginning at 6:30 AM.
Parking
Our event takes place at the brand new stadium at Licking Heights High School. Please park in the Middle School lots. To navigate, plug 4000 Mink St SW, Pataskala, OH 43062 into your favorite GPS system, or click here for directions. There is ample parking at the Middle School.
Race Day Timeline
- 6:30 AM - Race day check-in opens - there is no race day registration
- 7:50 AM - Line up at the start line for final announcements
- 8:00 AM - The 5K Run/Walk begins!
- 8:15 AM - The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is underway!
- 9:00 AM - Awards presentation
Awards
There will be awards presented to the top 3 overall male and female finishers in the 5K, as determined by gun time.
