The City of Sandusky’s Recreation Department is proud to announce a FREE and weekly fitness program for area residents and those visiting the city.
Pier Pressure will be a fitness meetup EVERY Saturday from May through September. Each week participants will have the opportunity to stretch, learn light calisthenics and walk or run at their own pace along Sandusky Bay.
Participants will be introduced to three of Sandusky’s fitness centers and have the opportunity to learn more about each trainer and facility. All of the fitness centers are in the city and include Tim Dorsey Fitness, NexXt Level Fit Academy, and CrossFit Sandusky. The fourth Saturday of each month will be Zumba with Mel, a music-based aerobic activity at the pier.
The program is also available to visitors to the area as a way to welcome them to downtown Sandusky with a quick workout in historic Sandusky and along the many piers on Sandusky Bay. Area hotels and lodging are encouraged to invite their guests to the program.
The program is open to all ages, but participants should leave their four-pawed friends at home.
Pier Pressure will tentatively host a Downtown Crawl and/or four-gym workout on the fifth Saturdays of the month!
A waiver must be signed by each participant prior to the workout.
