Description
Back after several years, the National Museum of the United States Air Force is pleased to announce the return of the Solar System 5K Fun Run as part of its celebration of the 50th anniversary of Apollo 15.
The 5k course is run primarily on the museum's runway. Runners will run past displays of each planet that are spaced in proportion to their distance apart in the actual solar system. All 5k runners will receive a finisher's medal and those registered by July 22 will be guaranteed and event T-Shirt. This will be a fun, family-friendly event. There will be music, pictures and fun for the whole family.
Registration fee is $25 for adults (18+) and $20 for those under 17. There will be s FREE, quarter-mile kids fun run for children 8 and under at 5:45pm.
The event will be held rain or shine.
