Get ready to party lakeside! This looped course will have you coming through the cheer zone every 1.35 miles. Aid stations every 1.35 miles? Heck, yes! We'll have plenty of sugary and salty calories and hydration to keep you going. This time around, more chips than ever! Oh yeah, the actual running/walking part of the course. It's mixed paved and single track dirt trails that wind through the woods to the hilltop overlooking Lake Vian. We have a 4 Miler, Half Marathon, Marathon, and 50k. So 3 loops for the 4 Miler, 10 loops for a generous Half, 20 for a bit over a Marathon, and 23 for a 50k. How hilly is Hilltop? You get 130 feet of elevation gain per loop. So finishing any of the distances is a big deal. That's why we have finisher medals for all. We're also doing Top 3 Overall awards for each distance. The cutoff time for all distances is 4pm. Registration also includes a shirt. Just make sure to register by February 14 (Valentine's Day) for a guaranteed shirt.
Hilltop does not happen without volunteers. Volunteers applied for grant money to build the trails. Volunteers have put on the training runs leading up to this event. We need volunteers. We have everything from helping with setup, to packet pickup and course marshaling. We would love to have you as part of our team. Sign up today as a volunteer for Lake Vian Hilltop Run by clicking on the Volunteer tab above.
