Please join the friends and supporters of Stillwaters Hospice House August 15 - 22, 2022 by running/walking in our Second Annual Dragonfly Race! Your participation will help us raise funds and awareness for the development of Stillwaters Hospice House! Participants who register before July 15 will have t-shirts and other giveaways will mailed prior to race week.

Stillwaters Hospice House is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to create an environment of Comfort, Safety and Dignity for those at the end of life, where physical, spiritual and relational needs can be addressed in a warm and supportive environment, with care provided by trained Hospice Doulas.

An unexpected end of life prognosis is often a time of crisis and fear - the person whose days are waning needing physical, emotional and spiritual care - their loved ones scrambling to help with tasks they are unfamiliar with or unprepared for. Community supported hospice houses will meet these needs, giving the families time to come together supported in a loving environment. While hospice agencies provide medical care and symptom management, they do not provide 24/7 care giving services. Hospice eligible patients can be denied discharge from a hospital in their last days and weeks because they have no safe place to be cared for during their end-of-life process.

Stillwaters Hospice House will be that safe discharge site by providing community supported care, so that question is no longer "How will you pay?" but "How can we help?"
