Description
Lace up and join us for the 17th Annual Run for Their Lives 5K on September 19, 2026! This timed charity fun run features an approximately 3-mile course through the beautiful, tree-lined streets of North Park in northern Allegheny County, just north of Pittsburgh, PA. Your participation helps raise awareness of bleeding disorders and supports essential education and advocacy programs.
Online run registration will close at 6:00 PM on Friday, September 18. In-person registration will begin at 7:30 AM on Saturday, September 6!

Location: North Park Swimming Pool Loop, 303 Pearce Mill Rd, Allison Park, PA 15101
Time: Registration begins at 7:30 AM, Race begins at 8:30 AM
Distance: 5K (Approximately 3-mile course)
Each participant will receive a technical race t-shirt (if registered by July 31, 2026), goody bag, and medal. The final day to ensure a shirt in your size is Friday, July 31.
The registration fee schedule is as follows:
Early Bird Pricing – $25 now through May 31, 2026
Pre-Race Registration – $30 from June 1 – September 18, 2026
Race Day Fee – $35
Virtual Run for Their Lives 5K
Our hybrid run gives you the choice to join us in-person on September 19 in North Park or be a virtual runner and run one of your favorite courses! No matter where you run, you’re still raising critical awareness and funds to support those affected by bleeding disorders in Western Pennsylvania!
Registration for virtual runners is $25 and includes a t-shirt (if registered by July 31, 2026), race medal, and goody bag. Virtual runners have the option to have their race packets/bags mailed to them for an additional fee or free pick-up at the WPBDF office located at: 433 State Avenue, Suite #4, Beaver PA 15009.
Our office is open from 9 am - 4 pm. Please contact Jessica, Race Director, at jessica@wpbdf.org to coordinate packet pick-up. Stay tuned for more information about virtual race packet pick-up and shipping dates.

UNITE FOR BLEEDING DISORDERS WALK

For those who would like to walk in support of the Western Pennsylvania Bleeding Disorders Foundation (WPBDF), we would love to have you join us. Simply click the link below.
NOTES:
- Walkers will register through a secondary site maintained by the WPBDF. If you have a family with both runners and walkers, you will register on different pages but all of your efforts will go to support those in need.

Volunteer with Us!
Are you interested in volunteering at the Run for Their Lives 5K? Volunteers are needed to help with set up, registration and check-in, manning water stations, passing out medals, and much more! The Unite for Bleeding Disorders Walk will take place right after the run, and volunteers are also needed to support that event. Set up – Arrive at 5:30 am – 7:30 am - Help set up tables, chairs, and signage.
Run Registration & Check-In – Arrive at 7:30am – 8:30 am – Help register onsite individuals and check-in already registered individuals.
Photographer – Arrive at 8:00am – 12:00 pm – Capture candid moments and important parts of the day. Must have own equipment and share all rights to photos after the event.
Race Water – Arrive at 8:00am – 11:00 am – Stand along the race route to direct runners and walkers and pass out water to the runners and walkers.
Race Medals – Arrive at 8:15am – 10:00 am – Hand out race medals to runners as they cross the finish line.
Chinese Auction & Food Table – Arrive at 8:30am – 11:00 am – Sell tickets for the Chinese auction. Help set up food table and make sure area is kept clean.
Walk Registration & Check-In – Arrive at 8:30am – 10:00 am – Help register onsite individuals and check in already registered individuals.
Unite Table – Arrive at 8:30am – 10:30 am – Organize and pass out Unite t-shirt, bags, and swag.
Cleanup & Break Down Crew – Arrive by 11:30 am – 1:00 pm – Help break down tables and chairs, clean up, and load up truck.
RACE SWAG
All participants will receive a custom technical race shirt (if registered by July 31, 2026), finishers medal and goody bag. Stay tuned for the reveal of the 2026 race shirt!

RACE DAY DETAILS
This event will be held virtually and in-person! Race packets can be picked up the morning of the race. There will be no time prior to race day for packet pick-up.
All virtual participants who chose the shipping option will be mailed their run swag one week prior to September 19. Virtual runners can pick up their race swag starting Monday, September 14. Whether you're a virtual runner or join us at North Park, take photos and send them to jessica@wpbdf.org to show us how you Run for Their Lives!
