Description

Do you like to walk/run in cold, frigid temperatures in NEPA? Well, you're in luck.  Our February Freeze Virtual 5k will be taking place Friday, 2/25- Sunday 2/27. Walk/run anywhere you'd like. You can always hop on a treadmill if you don't want to freeze. For anyone who wants to run on the John Glenn Trail on the BCCCS campus (which is where an in-person event will be held one of these years, COVID permitting), a group will be running at 10AM on Saturday, 2/26/22. There won't be any formal race supports such as water stations, a medic, etc. The group will be running a 2 loop course of the blue section of the trail.

Submit your time via runsignup when you're finished running to be eligible for a prize. The top male and female finishers will receive a $50.00 Valley Running Company Gift Card. The top BCCCS STUDENT finishers (male and female) will receive a prize as well.

All timing submissions must be received by 11:59 PM , Sunday, February 27th.

Kids can join in the freezing fun by participating in a 1 mile Kids Fun Run. *Prizes not awarded for 1 mile run.

**All registrations received by Friday, 2/11 will include a winter hat with a custom race logo, designed by one of our very own BCCCS students.  Any registration completed from Saturday 2/12 - Sunday, 2/27 will NOT include a shirt and will be priced lower to reflect that.

**Hats will be available for pickup on or around 2/17-2/18. Please watch for an email with details about distribution/pickup.

All proceeds from this race benefit the BCCCS PTO.

The Bear Creek Community Charter School Parent/Teacher Organization (PTO) is an active partner in providing students with unique opportunities and supporting school-wide programs. The primary purpose of this organization is to support the academic and intellectual growth of our children. We will work together as a group to foster a spirit of cooperation and communication between parents, school administrators, and the teachers. It is our goal to continually improve and expand the opportunities for our children to have educational, cultural, as well as recreational experiences that would complement activities provided for in the school corporation’s budget. We will raise funds through donations, contributions, and school sponsored events to facilitate the implementation of new programs and activities. We will promote and support the school as well as a sense of pride and enthusiasm as we strive to develop an interactive relationship between BCCCS and its community.
