The Perfect Marathon Training Race is BACK!
The 5th Annual Shoes 'N Brews 26.2KM Metric Marathon & Relay will take place on Sunday October 5th, 2025.
A collaboration between The RUNegades (Shoes) and The Conshohocken Brewing Company (Brews), this FLAT, FAST, POINT-TO-POINT race on the SRT will take you from Conshohocken to a rockin' afterparty on Bridge Street in Phoenixville.
At 26.2 KM this "metric marathon" is 16.28 miles--basically a half marathon plus a 5K. It's perfect for marathon training OR for anyone who wants more than a half marathon but is not quite ready for a full.
Not up for taking on all 16.2 miles by yourself? Team up with a running buddy and split the course in two with the TEAM RELAY OPTION! The exchange will occur at mile 9, right under the 422 overpass near the Betzwood parking area at 1400 Sullivan's Lane in Norristown, PA.

Course: Point-to-point from the Conshohocken Brewing Company in Conshohocken to Phoenixville on the SRT, finishing under the Gay Street Bridge in Phoenixville. For those in the two-person relay, the exchange will occur at mile 9, where the SRT goes under 422 near Betzwood Park.

Cost: Solo Runners: $65 until 4/30; $70 until 8/31; $75 9/1 to race day Relay Runners: $50/each until 8/31; $55/each 9/1 to race day (lunch buffet is included in the cost of every entry)
After Party: @ The Rec Room by Conshohocken Brewing on Bridge Street in Phoenixville! All runners will receive a free buffet lunch. Spectators who would like to join for the buffet can pre-purchase buffet tickets for $15.
Race Swag: Artist-designed finishers' medal and a quality race-themed shirt. (Shirt guaranteed if you register by 9/12.)
Awards: Awards for top 3 male and female overall and top 3 M/F in each of the following age groups: 19 & Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+ / The top three M/F/Co-ed relay teams will also win awards
Transportation: During registration, participants will have the option to purchase tickets for shuttle trips from Phoenixville to Conshohocken. One at 11:30 am, one at 12:15pm and one at 1:00 pm.
Relay runners are expected to transport themselves from the exchange to the Rec Room. We suggest that one teammate drop the other at the start in Conshy, then park near the exchange. When the first runner arrives at the exchange, they can take the car to Phoenixville.
Additional Information:
1. Bib pickup will be on-site at the Taproom at Conshy Brewing, starting at 7 am.
2. We cannot place portable toilets on the SRT, but there is a short detour to restrooms at the Betzwood parking area (mile 9.5) and restrooms at the Reynolds Dog Park in Phoenixiville (mile 14).
3. Water stations will be placed at miles 4, 6, 9, 11.5, and 14.
Because of restrictions in Montgomery County, the field is limited to 200 runners! Sign up before it sells out!

FAQs
Q: Do runners have to purchase tickets to the post-race buffet?
A: No! The post-race buffet comes with your registration. Anyone who is NOT registered for the race but wants to eat the buffet should pre-purchase their buffet ticket.
Q: Are strollers allowed in the race?
A: Yes!
Q: Are dogs allowed in the race?
A: You may run with your dog, but we ask that you only do so if your dog is used to group runs. We also ask that you take full responsibility for your dog's actions.
Q: Does the race provide transportation back to the parking area?
A: We will have three shuttle buses returning from Phoenixville to Conshohocken: one at 11:15 am, one at 12:15 pm, and another at 1:30 pm. Shuttle tickets are $12.50 per person and can be purchased when you register. They will be $20 the day of the event.
Q: Does the race have a participant cap?
A: Yes! Because of Montgomery County rules, we can only allow 200 runners in the event, so register ASAP before it sells out!
Race Day Information
Here's all the info you need for race day.
Bib pickup: Opens at 7 am just outside of The Conshohocken Brewing Company Taproom near the starting line. 729 East Elm Street, Conshohocken. All runners (even those running the second leg of the relay) must pick up their bibs at the Taproom.
Start: The race will be gun-timed and begins at 8:00 am.
Relay Runners: If you are running the relay, the exchange will be located on the SRT, under route 422 by the Betzwood parking area. SEE GOOGLE MAP HERE. We suggest that you take one car to pick up your bibs at the start, have runner 2 drive to the exchange, and have runner 1 drive to Phoenixville.
Parking: Street parking is available on the streets around the starting line. We encourage car-pooling and suggest that you arrive on the early side to ensure that you find parking.
Water Stations: Water stations will be located at (roughly) miles 4, 6, 9, 11.5, and 14. Water stations will be stocked with bottled water. The station at mile 9 will have UCAN gels and hydrate. Please discard your bottles into the trash cans provided.
Bag Drop: If you would like a bag transported to the finish line, give it to Trish or Marilyn at the starting line. Please do not put anything valuable or dangerous in your bag. (We have transported our last rabid baby goat!)
The SRT: The Schuylkill River Trail is a public trail that will remain open to the public during our event. Please be aware of bikers and other runners. And PLEASE discard your water bottles in the provided trash receptacles.
Finish Line: The race finishes under the Gay Street Bridge in Phoenixville. It is a short walk to the afterparty at the Rec Room on Bridge Street.
Awards: Age group awards and team awards will be given out at the Rec Room following the race. You will be able to check your results as soon as you finish with a QR code at the end of the race. If you place top 3 or top 3 in your age group, you will be recognized. You can pick up your recognition at the Rec Room even if you're not staying for the afterparty.
Afterparty: The Rec Room will open at 10:30 am and the buffet lunch will be served from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Food is included in the registration price but drinks are on you!
Spectator Tickets: If you purchased a spectator ticket, just give your name to our person at the Rec Room and you will be admitted to the brunch.
Return Shuttles: Return shuttles will leave from Phoenixville bound for Conshy at 11:30 AM, 12: 15 PM, and 1:00 PM.
