5K Run, 2 Mile Walk and a Kids Fun Run

Support Easton's largest greenspace by bringing family and friends to Easton Cemetery!

Join us for the Lehigh Valley's only race in a cemetery on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Run or walk around our 84 acres of rolling hills, historic monuments, funerary artwork and natural landscape. Whether you're looking for that PR or a fun Sunday morning with friends and family, there's something for everyone. Food, beverages and surprises for all after the race. The event kicks off at  9:00 AM with the 5K Run, followed by a 2 Mile Walk. The (free) Kids Fun Run starts at 10:00 am. Kids Fun Run participants will be greeted by a special guest at the finish line (Star, the mini horse!). Awards for the 5K Run Top 3 Male/Female/NonBinary, Top 3 Male/Female in age groups: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 & 80+. No double-dipping.

This event is rain or shine. Running in the rain can be fun and memorable. We have proof!

• We will make a call at 5:00 AM on Sunday, May 4th (race morning) about whether or not we need to cancel the race because of unsafe weather conditions, primarily the possibility of lightning.
• The safety of participants is paramount. We will not risk anyone's health or life by racing in lightning or unsafe weather.
• If we need to cancel the race, we will notify you by email around 5:30 AM on Sunday.
• If you do not hear from us, assume we will aim to start the race at our normal start time at 9:00 AM.
• We will make a final call 30 minutes before the race starts to ensure that we believe racing will be safe for all. 

Participant Amenities include: Professional timing, emcee, DJ, water table at Mile 2, a finisher woodallion for both 5K Run and 2 Mile Walkers, and T-Shirt* for runners and walkers (register by 4/13 to guarantee your size), and personalized bibs (if you register by 4/13). Snacks and beverages provided to all racers after the events. Prizes for all who participate in the Kids Fun Run. 

Registration: Register online through RunSignUp. Registration for all three events will remain open through race morning, Sunday, May 4. You may register in person at Easton Cemetery on Sunday, May 4th. All registrants will be asked to sign up through RunSignUp but we will have the option of a paper registration if absolutely necessary. Payment can be cash or Venmo. 

Bib Pick-Up Options: 

• Pick up your bib at the Easton Farmers' Market in downtown Easton on Saturday, May 3 from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. We'll have a tent near the stripey tent in the parking lot towards the west end by the Shell gas station. See map.
• Or, on race day, Sunday, May 4 beginning at 7:00 am at Easton Cemetery in the Registration Tent by the chapel. We will have two lines: one for the 5K and one for the Walk and Kids Fun Run. 

Weather: This event is rain or shine. It's fun either way. We have proof! 

Shirts: If a shirt is included with your registration, you may pick it up when you pick up your bib. All unclaimed shirts will be available on a first come, first serve basis at the Info Table after 10:00 AM on Sunday, May 4. 

Parking on Race Day: The Easton Cemetery will be closed to vehicles on race day. Both Easton Cemetery gates (N. 7th St and N. 10th St) will be open to pedestrian traffic. Parking is available in the neighborhood but may be difficult at the N. 7th St gate. Please utilize downtown Easton parking options, carpool and allow extra time. 

Race Day Schedule: 

7:00 - 8:45 AM: Bib Pick-Up and Day Of Registration

8:30 AM: Pre-Race Stretch

8:45 AM: All Racers to start line

8:55 AM: Welcome and music (with special guest Chizzy Check!) 

9:00 AM: 5K race begins

9:05 AM: 2 Mile Walk begins

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM: Post-race refreshments and awards

10:00 AM: Kids Fun Run (The Kids Fun Run is approx 1-2 laps; each lap is 0.50 mile)

Notes for the 5K Runners:  Runners will follow the GREEN route arrows. Please stay to the right on the course, pass on the left. We have Mile Marker signs this year! Water table will be at Mile 2. 

Notes for the 2 Mile Walkers: We have two Walker leads who will be wearing blue vests. Walkers will follow the ORANGE route arrows. Please note you will not pass the Water table. Bring water with you or you can grab one at the finish. The walkers will not be timed but you'll need to get to the finish to get your race medal. 

Notes for the Kids Fun Run: Kids will follow the PINK route arrows and have the option of completing two laps of the course for a full mile or completing one lap (approx 0.50 mile). Kids will not be timed, but they'll need to get to the finish to get their race medal. Parents and guardians are welcome to accompany their kiddos. 

This event is a 100% volunteer-based effort. All proceeds benefit Friends of Historic Easton Cemetery, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, who support Easton Cemetery. Thank you for your donation!
