The Rocksylvania Remix is back for 2022 and here to keep you honest, training hard and ready for the 2022 racing season!

 

NEW THIS YEAR!
This year we are not only tracking total distance, we are also keeping track of total elevation gain!  Along the way you will be able to complete certain milestones and earn virtual badges.  Below is the total elevation gain for each race division in the series as a benchmark.  You can also climb Mt Everest...Virtually!

10K Division - 4,850' Elevation
Half Marathon Division - 13,800' Elevation
25K Division - 20,000' Elevation
Ultra Division - 32,100' Elevation
Climb Mt Everest - 29,032' Elevation
70,750' Elevation in the entire Rocksylvania Series

 

Many of you have competed in our Rocksylvania Remix last year with great success.  This year we are using the Remix Challenge as a New Years Resolution and a way to keep yourself and your running friends accountable during their winter training.  We heard from many of you last year how much fun they had challenging themselves as well as their friends with the Remix Challenge and for 2022 we want to keep that momentum going. Lets all start 2022 off on the right foot together.  Healthier, happier and fitter. 

 

Sign up today to join the Rocksylvania Remix, get outside -- at any speed you like -- over the next 3 months, and be a part of the awesome Rocksylvania community at the same time.  Don't think you are ready for the full 300 mile challenge?  Sign up for the 175 miler and push yourself further than you thought you could go!  We realize it is much more difficult to get to some of the trails during the winter months so we have reduced the total miles and don't expect you to only count your trail miles. Any miles are good miles for this challenge. 

 

Here's how the Rocksylvania Remix will work:

1. Sign up for either distance in the virtual challenge by clicking on the SIGN UP button above or clicking HERE.

2. Tell your friends & family and encourage them to join you in this challenge! (Participate from anywhere, not just PA!)

3. Run, walk or hike on ANY trail / road / treadmill for your miles to count starting on January 1 and continuing through March 31.

4. Track and upload your daily mileage & elevation gain on our leaderboard.  You'll be able to see how you're doing along with other Remix Challengers. You don't have to complete all 175 miles or 300 miles in order to participate in this challenge.  Do the best you can to get outside on the trails as often as you can in order to help a great cause!

5. All participants who sign up before January 15, 2022 will receive a Core 365 running jacket & official race bib!  Jackets will be mailed to participants as soon as possible so you can enjoy it during the challenge.  

6. Challenge yourself and your friends to start the new year off right.

 

Rocksylvania History

The Rocksylvania Trail Series includes 20 different race courses that have teamed up to showcase some of the best trail races in the state of PA. It consists of 4 race divisions (10k, Half Marathon, 25k and Ultra).  The series traditionally runs from mid-April to the end of October and totals close to 350 trail miles.  Our Rocksylvania Remix will last 90 days, giving participants an average goal of 3.3 miles per day to complete the 300 mile challenge and an average of 1.9 miles per day to complete the 175 mile challenge.

 

How To Record Mileage / Elevation

Participants will record their daily mileage & elevation gain starting on January 1, track their progress and challenge themselves. Running, walking or hiking on ANY trail / road / treadmill will count.   And remember, this is based on the honor system. No need to upload data to Strava or record your miles with a GPS.  No one will be looking to DQ you.  Do your best to get out on a daily basis and challenge yourself and your friends to meet some new goals along the way!


Once you are registered, you will be able to upload your miles on a daily basis using the following steps:

Step 1: Make sure you are logged into RunSignUp

Step 2: Click on the FIND A PARTICIPANT tab and find your name. You can search your name or search your bib number. Your bib number was sent in your confirmation email when you registered for the event.

Step 3: Under your name click on the More Details button

Step 4: Now select the Submit Virtual Results button

Step 5: For each day you will Add Another Activity and enter the total miles & elevation you covered on that day.

Step 6: Click the Select Activity button at the bottom. It will take a few minutes to record but your overall miles should now be visible on the Results tab with the rest of the leaders. 

 

After you have signed up for the Rocksylvania Remix, take video / pictures of yourself logging miles on the trail, and post them to the Rocksylvania Facebook Page.  Post your own story as you tick off those Remix trail miles and encourage others to reach their goals, too.  Be sure to use the hashtag #rocksylvaniaremix and feel free to tag any of the Rocksylvania races as well!  If it's worth a picture, we want to see it!

Printable Bib

You have the ability to print off your "bib" as part of being a participant in the Rocksylvania Remix Frostbite Edition. Go to Find A Participant. Search your name and select the green More Details button.  On the top menu bar there should now be a header Pre-Race Bib.  An actual bib will also be shipped to you with your SWAG. 

Jackets SWAG

All participants who sign up before January 15, 2022 will receive a Core 365 running jacket & official race bib!  Jackets will be mailed to participants as soon as possible so you can enjoy it during the challenge.  The women will be red and the men will be navy.
