Description
It’s the inaugural NEPA Run the River Race: a water-themed 5K Run and Mile Walk!
This year, NEPA Summer in the City is taking to Wilkes-Barre to host a day-long “Day Downtown Festival,” but we know it wouldn’t be a full day without a nice run/walk around Kirby Park to get us all stretched out for the days fun! We hope you all choose to join us for this water-themed race along the Susquehanna’s banks.
Volunteers will line the course with water guns, blasters, and water toys to cool you off during the course and keep with the water theme of our race! Don’t want to get wet? No worries… just choose the right color shirt when registering. Blue will mean water and white will mean no water!
Prizes will be given to the fastest in every age group and to the top three overall male and female finishers.

Pricing:
Early Bird: $25 - Until June 29
Regular: $30 - Until July 19
Race Day: $35 - July 20
Pre-race Packet Pick-up:
Packet Pick-up will take place from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on July 19 at The Lands at Hillside Farms, 65 Hillside Rd, Shavertown, PA 18708.

Course Information
The course is paved, flat, and fast, perfect for those who are tackling their first 5k or for experienced runners looking to improve their time. It is an out-and-back loop with two small hills, one in mile one, and another in mile two.
