15th Annual Run Like a Mann 5K Canceled
After carefully assessing the trail conditions and considering the current situation in our community due to Hurricane Helene, we made the difficult decision to cancel the "Run Like a Mann" 5K on 10/12. We understand this may be disappointing, but we are hopeful for a successful 5K next year!

Join the Laurens County Cancer Association's Run Like a Mann 5K Run and Walk in memory of our friend Tim Mann. All proceeds will go towards fuel assistance for Laurens County cancer patients.
Currently, no treatment facilities are available for cancer patients in Laurens County. As a result, our clients are required to travel to other cities such as Greenwood, Greenville, Charleston, and even out of state for treatment. The frequency of these trips can vary from 5 days a week to once a month, depending on the type and severity of their cancer diagnosis. These additional travel and associated costs strain many cancer patients' already tight budgets. Our fuel assistance program aims to alleviate this financial burden. There is a common misconception that we are affiliated with the American Cancer Society. The LCCA is a local non-profit organization that operates independently of any national or state organizations. We rely solely on our own fundraising activities, like the annual "Run Like a Mann" 5K, support from local businesses in Laurens County, and contributions from foundations and healthcare organizations such as Prisma and Self Regional. We also receive support from many local citizens, clubs, and churches.
