This event aims to raise funds for the Vulnerable Adult Fund, to support South Carolina adults aged 18 and older who have experienced abuse, neglect, or exploitation and are in the custody of the South Carolina Department of Social Services. The Vulnerable Adult Fund is a program under the Vulnerable Adult Guardian ad Litem (VAGAL SC)

Funds raised from the event will help vulnerable adults improve their quality of life by providing blankets, clothing, shoes, entertainment, communication devices, and much more.

The inaugural 5K race will host 500 runners. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to interact with sponsors and vendors.

"Join us for the Race for the Ages 5K to help empower and protect our community's most vulnerable adults. This event aims to create a positive impact and bring hope to those in need, championing dignity, safety, and support for South Carolina's vulnerable adults." - Connie D. Munn, Director, SCDOA.
