This is another fun & competitive race in beautiful River Legacy Parks in north Arlington. The course -- relatively flat & fast, mostly tree-shaded. Come have fun running, walking, strolling … Parking is available in the park. Donated school supplies are encouraged for St. Alban’s Episcopal [www.stalbansarlington.org] Outreach & Mission; and the net race proceeds will benefit the church’s mission at Crow Elem. Our racing mission continues to be to produce affordable, hedonistically fun & athletically competitive races that also benefit some charity(-ies) with a populist & gender parity focus – for the average runner/walker (including the novices) and also for the seasoned, serious racer.
The third edition of the God’s Hands & Feet in the World 5K / 1 Mile Run/Walk will engage the trails at beguilingly attractive River Legacy Parks on August 18, 2012.
In a sense, St. Alban’s Episcopal (Episcopal Church of the USA) [www.saintalbansarlington.org] – which currently meets at Theatre Arlington, 305 W. Main St, Arlington, TX 76010 -- is one of the newest parishes in the Fort Worth Diocese of the Episcopal Church. We are an open and affirming congregation, a fledgling & vibrant parish who are part of the Episcopal Church with “a mission to restore all people to unity with God and one another in Christ …and a commitment to a life of prayer; honoring Holy Scripture and participating in true Episcopal worship; and to empowered lay leadership and a return to the emphasis on Christ’s instructions to feed the hungry, clothe the naked and comfort the lonely – a desire to greet one another as brothers and sisters despite differences of race or tribe, status, gender, political allegiances or ethical views and understanding.” One element of a very engaging Outreach Mission (God’s hands in the world) is helping low-income families – kids and parents – at AISD’s Crow Elementary, with supplies and a tutoring & caring presence. One of the latest additions to our lineup of races – God’s Hands & Feet in the World 5K/1M – is geared to help in that effort. The race will be at Arlington’s beautiful River Legacy Parks on August 18, 2012. Awards
Awards will be given to 1st Overall male and female finishers, 1st Masters male and female finishers. Top 3 finishers in the following age/gender groups also will be awarded: 6 & Under, 7-8, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over. All 1 Mile finishers will receive participation ribbons.
Beneficiary
Net proceeds and the donated school supplies will benefit St. Alban’s ECUSA (Arlington, TX -- www.stalbansarlington.org ) Outreach & Mission programs, particularly to AISD’s Crow Elementary School.

This is a fun & competitive race in beautiful River Legacy Parks in north Arlington. The course is flat & fast, and is mostly tree-shaded. DIRECTIONS FROM DALLAS, FORT WORTH, etc. Exit onto N. Cooper off I-30 in Arlington and go north. Turn Left at the intersection of Cooper & Green Oaks. Turn Right at the very next intersection/light and go into the Park. Continue on the park entrance road. Turn Left at the first road on the left. Continue on that road until you see the race activity.

Offline Fees
Mail-in fees are $10 (5K) OR $5 (1 Mile) if mailed by 8/14/12 (Forms may be obtained by e-mail from jephaa@yahoo.com or www.runningintheusa.com/jeph on the Web). Walk-in fees (thru 8/17) are $10 (5K) OR $5 (1 Mile) at The RUNNER, 3535 W. Pioneer Pkwy, Arlington TX 76013 (817-461-2281). Race day fees - $15 (5K) OR $5 (1 Mile). Plus school supplies on race day. NO T-SHIRTS! But a small, scholarly memento. Race Day registration & race number pick-up: 7:00 AM – 7:50 AM on 8/18/12 at the race site
