Description
Come join us for the first annually Lakefront Triathlon in Little Elm, Texas. The event is a Sprint distance with a 500 yard swim, 12 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run. We will also have an Aquabike option. The swim starts on a sandy beach, the bike is flat and fast, and the run is on the trails. you will finish in Little Elm Park with an awesome post party with the help from the City of Little Elm. Each participant will get a custom event shirt, DAR famous socks, and a finishers medal.
WEATHER POLICY
In the event of inclement weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour. Past this time, the even course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants.
If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director.
We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans.
Considerable amount goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions.
Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE:
5:00 a.m. – Turn off alarm and get your costume ready!
6:15 a.m. – Transition Opens
7:15 a.m. – Transition closes/ Athletes stay in Transition by their bike until their number is called to enter the swim
7:30 a.m. – Race begins (First group of athletes taken into the Natatorium)
9:30 a.m. – Awards
AWARDS
The awards will be three deep per age group along with Athena and Clydesdale (39 and under, 40+) with individual awards for overall male, overall female, overall masters female & male and overall grand masters female and male.
The breakdown of age group awards are as follows:
14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65 -69, 70-74, and 75 & over
Masters:
Male – 40-59
Female – 40-54
Grand Masters:
Male – 60 and over
Female – 55 and over
Overall Finisher Awards and Age Group Awards are based on gun time for running events and chip time for triathlon events.
You or a designated person must be present to pick up your award. Awards are not available for pick up or mailing post event.
