DESCRIPTION
Come and join us for the First annual Bigfoot Classic! The Bigfoot Classic will take you on an journey through beautiful O.P. Schnabel Park in San Antonio Texas. With race distances of 1 mile, 5K, 10K or even 15K this is a great race for runners of any ability level. Are you going for a personal best or just want to have some healthy fun with friends or co-workers? Then this is the race for you. The first place overall Male and Female 5K, 10K, and 15K finishers will receive the highly coveted Bigfoot trophy to show off to your family and friends. Add to that our super comfy Bigfoot Tee, custom medal, and custom race bib and you have the recipe for a legendary event. Have some little Yeti's joining you? Make sure they participate in our Kid's Dash so they can receive our super cool kids recognition swag they will surely treasure. Snacks and bottled water will be available to all participants after finishing as well as several aid station along the course. Jam out with our DJ Sasquatch who will be playing all the hits at the race rally trailer by the starting/finishing area. We are a professional race company with multiple years of experience directing races for other event companies. Come experience a fun, family friendly, race environment that is sure to become a staple race on your annual running calendar.

The kid's dash is a fun, untimed dash for our kiddos ages 10 and under. Registration includes a mini bib, youth-sized t-shirt, and kid's dash pin! (If your child wants to run the kid's dash, and doesn't want the SWAG, they are welcome to run with us on race day for free!)

Overall Finisher Trophy
First place overall in the 5K, 10K, 15K male and female participants will receive the highly coveted Bigfoot Trophy. Great to show off to your friends and family and validate your well deserved bragging rights!
Volunteer With Us
Sign up under the "VOLUNTEER" tab on the top menu. Course Monitor and Aid Station volunteers earn an event shirt and a FREE race entry to a future event to use for yourself or to gift to someone else OR our exclusive volunteer SWAG pack! Volunteer for a half marathon and earn TWO free race entries for a future event!
Course Monitors help maintain a safe course by redirecting traffic away from participants and guiding participants in the right direction. Feel free to bring pom-poms, horns, music, instruments, signs, etc. to encourage and cheer on runners. Bonus for creative costumes!
Aid Station volunteers provide water to participants as they pass. Keep the course clean for runners by picking up discarded cups, bottles, and trash and placing it in the provided trash bins. Please feel free to bring pom poms, signs, horns, music, etc to cheer on participants. Bonus for great costumes!
Volunteers arrive at the event 1 hour 15 minutes before start time and check in at the registration tent.
Packet Pickup
Due to the volume of participants in this race we highly encourage you to attend our Packet Pickup on Friday January 12th 2024 from 5:30PM to 7:00PM at O. P. Schnabel Park, 9606 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78250. This is also the starting location for the race.
If you are unable to pick up your packet Friday evening don't worry we will also offer packet pick up Saturday January 13th starting at 7:30am until 8:50am.
**Shirt Guarantee shutoff date was January 3rd at midnight. If you registered after that date shirts and sizes can not be guaranteed. We did order plenty of extra shirts but had to estimate sizes for the late entry folks. Again, we have plenty of shirts but if you entered late you will need to visit us after your run to collect your shirt from the excess we ordered.
Packet Pickup is always available on race day an hour and a half before the start of the race.
If you need to switch to virtual please email support@bigfootrunningco.com BEFORE the event or come to packet pickup and pick up your items. If we are not notified prior to the event, items may not be available as we open items up after the event for late registrations.

Virtual Event
Virtual Event participants are welcome to run any day, anytime, at the location of their choice!
Your registration includes a digital bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and shipping for your packet. Your packet will be mailed to you and will ship out the Tuesday after the race. You can upload your times starting the day of the event on the results page. You can also upload any photos in the "participant upload" album on the photos page!

Refund/Cancellation Policy
Cancelation Policy: All Bigfoot Running Company events proceed rain or shine or snow or cold. For that reason, we have a strict no refund policy. If you are unable to participate in the event, or the event is canceled, you can still receive your packet, shirt, and medal and you simply run the race on your own time on your own course.
Course Map
The course has a short section that IS NOT PAVED. It measures out to be 0.11 of a mile. It is located just before the 3 mile mark so this WILL NOT affect people in the 5K but it is located 0.43 of a mile before you will reach the 10K turnaround. Please be aware if you have mobility issues or are bringing a stroller you will need to use caution on this short section of the course. See picture below.
