JR Color Run

Hate cancer?  Like to run or walk?  Fan of music, free t-shirts, swag, raffles, and getting covered in color?  Have we got an event for you!

Hi! We are Mark Rapp and Oliver Buckner, Seniors in the Leadership Program at James River High School. We are putting on a Color Run 5k -- involving colored powder being thrown at participants -- to raise awareness and $$$ for Cancer Research, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. This event will be held on Sunday, March 13th, 2022 at James River High School, with the race starting at 9:30. We have both had loved ones die from cancer and we are passionate about doing our part to kick cancer’s butt.  We hope you'll come out, get colored by powder, and help us COLOR OUT CANCER!  We really hope to see you there, but if you can’t make it to the event there is a nifty “Donate” button up above that we sure would appreciate you clicking on.

• Arrive: Don’t pull a hammy. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the race start, to warm-up, get psyched and pick up your race packet if necessary in order to avoid a delayed start. Thank you and we look forward to seeing you out there!

• Packet Pickup: Early packet pickup is preferred and encouraged, and will be held at Lucky Road Run Shop on Thursday, March 10th & Friday, March 11th, 2022 from 3 to 6 p.m. Can't make it? Show up 30 minutes prior to the race and pick up your packet filled with important information and goodies!

• T-Shirts: All signups received before February 25th receive a free a t-shirt! 

• Prizes/Certificates: Certificates and Prizes will be awarded to certain finishers, racers, and winners!

• Raffle Items: Numerous items from our awesome sponsors will be raffled off, including baskets and gift cards. All participants who register for the race are guaranteed an entry into each raffle item!

• Swag: All signups guaranteed swag inside of your race packet (fun goodies)!

• Post-Race: Food Trucks, Fun Games, and Music will be held after the race -- feel free to stay and enjoy! *Note: food is not provided but available for purchase*

• Timing: Timing will be done manually by Richmond Road Runners Club
