DUE TO UNSAFE COURSE CONDITIONS, THE DISTANCE OF THE LIVE RACE WAS CHANGED TO 3.4K (2.1 MILES).
This year has been a challenging one for races, but an even more difficult year for the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. We remain committed to providing support to this important organization by hosting both a LIVE and VIRTUAL version of the race. As with previous years, the LIVE version will be held on Thanksgiving Day on the scenic roads of Mariners' Museum Park. And because of COVID-19 restrictions, the course length will be approximately 4K and LIMITED TO ONLY 200 participants.
The VIRTUAL race will be the traditional 5K distance of your choice of course with NO LIMIT. The window of time to complete your virtual race is Saturday, November 21 through Sunday, December 6. However, in order to receive a shirt, you'll need to register by the early deadline. This is a race for the whole family that welcomes both runners and walkers. Medals will be awarded to all registrants. THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

Register 4 or more participants at the same time and receive $5 off per registrant.
Long-sleeved shirts guaranteed to all participants that register by November 6, 2020. Unclaimed shirts will not be mailed.
To maintain COVID-19 guidelines, chip timing will be used to score the event and multiple wave start will be in place to ensure social distancing. You will receive more instructions on this process as the race draws near.

With more than 500 members, Peninsula Track Club serves the Virginia Peninsula and surrounding communities. Our goal is to promote and encourage long distance running and educate the public to its benefits. Founded in 1955, the PTC is the oldest running club in Virginia and is currently involved in over 35 events annually, ranging from 5Ks to ultramarathons. Since the vast majority of race costs are incurred prior to a race and are non-refundable, we do not issue refunds for the event.
In the event you are unable to participate, you have two options:
1) Defer your entry to next year's race.
2) Transfer your entry to another runner. This must be done by November 22, 2020.
