Reston Sallie Mae 5K

Join us on Thursday, June 7 at 2pm for the 2nd Annual Sallie Mae 5k benefiting the Sallie Mae Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program. This year employees will be running 5Ks all over the country in memory of Charlie Rocha – our leader, mentor, and friend.

Over the last 2 years, 9 inspiring high school students have been awarded $25,000 each from Sallie Mae and we will award 4 graduate students with $20,000 each this spring. This program gives each student an opportunity to overcome financial obstacles that stand in their way of achieving their dreams of higher education. Bridging the Dream brings our mission to life as employees across the company come together to raise the funds to support these students.
