The Runway Colors of Cancer 5K Run/Walk is an opportunity to work together to build awareness, offer encouragement, and raise funds to beat cancer. You are invited to wear any and all of the various colors of cancer (the wilder, the better) to the event to symbolize our unity of purpose and celebrate survivors. Proceeds from the race will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Different diagnoses of cancer have an awareness color attached to them. There are a variety of colors participants can wear to symbolize cancer awareness. Or wear them all!
COLOR MEANING
BLACK: Skin Cancer.
BLUE: Bowel Cancer, Colon Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Rectal Cancer.
LIGHT BLUE: Prostate Cancer
GREEN: Eye Cancer, Liver Cancer, Lymphoma.
LIME GREEN: Lymphoma.
GREY: Brain Cancer, Lung Cancer
ORANGE: Kidney Cancer, Leukemia,
PEACH: Uterine Cancer.
PERIWINKLE: Stomach Cancer, and Esophageal Cancer.
PINK: Breast Cancer, Inflammatory Breast Cancer, Metastatic Breast Cancer, and Testicular Cancer.
PURPLE: Cancer Survivor, General Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Thyroid Cancer
RED: Head and Neck Cancer
TEAL: Cervical Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Gynecological Cancer.
WHITE: Bone Cancer, Osteoporosis, Head and Neck Cancer
YELLOW: Bladder Cancer, Childhood Cancer, Liver Cancer, and Testicular Cancer.
