The Port Angeles Marathon Association is excited for the 4th Run the Peninsula Race Series of 2023 on Saturday, October 14th. Included in this email are reminders and sources for finding the information you need to make Saturday successful.
RACE START TIME
8:30 AM for Half Marathon START 9:30 AM for 5K / 10K START
RACE BIB PICK-UP
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14TH - 7:30 AM - 8:15 AM for Half Marathon 8:30 AM - 9:15 AM -5K / 10K
Pick up your bib at the starting line the morning before the race. Bib Pick-up is at Port of Port Townsend Boat Haven. (305 8th Street, Port Townsend, WA - See Map Below)
PARKING FOR LARRY SCOTT TRAIL
There is plenty of parking at the Haines Place Park and Ride (440 12th St, Port Townsend, WA 98368). It is about a 10 minute walk from the Haines Place Park and Ride to the start line. There is a sidewalk and signage from Haines Place Park and Ride to Port of Port Townsend Boat Haven - Starting Line - 305 8th Street, Port Townsend, WA 98368.
CHECK OUT THE COURSE HERE
There are mile markers along the course for the 5K, 10K & Half Marathon. There will also be a large turn around sign at the 5K, 10K and Half Marathon turn around points.
WATER & GATORADE STATIONS
There are several water stations along the course. All water stations have both water and gatorade. There is also GU at the half marathon turn around (Mile 6.55) point. The 5K will have 2 water stations. The 10K will have 3 water stations and the half-marathon will have 5 water stations.
RESULTS
All participants will have official timed results. Results will be available to check online after the race. You can access your results and photos immediately after you finish by scanning the QR codes at the finish line.
Awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd for male and female in each age category.
CHANGES / SWITCH TO VIRTUAL RACE
If you need to make any changes to your registration or switch form the onsite race on Saturday to the Virtual race you can make those changes! You will need to login to your RunSignUp account and then select manage reservation. At the bottom of the page you can transfer event. Any other change requests should be emailed to the Race Director at rtp@runthepeninsula.com.
BAG CHECK
We will be providing a bag check at the start / finish line. You will need to provide the bag and it will be marked with your bib number. You can drop if off before the race and pick it up after.
