Description

Twenty four hours of fun! Run it as a team or run it solo. Run as much as you want or run as little as you want. Run it competitively or run it socially. Regardless, we will be there to cheer you on.

Ok, at some point you might want to take a nap, but that is up to you. We even have camping, bonfires, s'mores, & family activities!

Registering for a team

The team captain will select a team name and pay for the entire team. During registration, the team captain will be required to create a password. The team captain should then invite their team members to join the team and use the password to register. Your team members will not be charged. The team captain will also be asked to select a male team, female team or coed team. We recommend you select coed and we will adjust it the week of the race.

Course & Race Format

The course is a 3 mile loop through Nashotah Park. The trail is groomed with much of it lined with crushed wood chips. The vast majority of the course is through the woods and around the lake (watch for the Nashotah Park Sasquatch). Yep, there are some hills you will need to contend with!

Runners will select one team member to run the course at a time. When the team member finishes their running assignment, they will switch with a teammate in the designated transition area. Teams can switch every lap, every hour, every 8 hours, or choose any exchange strategy they'd like. It is 100% up to the team.

High School Teams

New for 2023, we will have a high school team category. Same course, same rules, but you will be competing against other high school teams. Your team members do not need to be enrolled at the same school. Collegiate runners are eligible to participate on a high school team, but no more than 2 per team.

Run S'more 5K

Here is your chance to run the same course as the Run S'more 24 athletes. You will even get a Run S'more 24 finisher woodle. It is a great way for friends and family to participate in the event.

Sorry, there are not age group medals for this event.

Run the S'more 24 Mini

The mini is the exact same format, but is only 6 hours long. It is a great way to prepare for your upcoming ultra! Please note, there are no awards for the mini.

Ultra Runners

Give Run S'more 24 a shot! This is a different format than most ultra distances: instead of running a set distance with a set cutoff time, you can run as much or as little as you want. You'll love all the support from runners, volunteers, and spectators.

For solo runners, there will be an area adjacent to the course for you to store your items. Runners are responsible for their own nutrition during the event, but we will provide water and sports drinks at one aid station that you will see twice.

Don't worry about what spot you are reserving. It is a giant field, and you can set up where you want. Reserve camp sites here.  You will need to reserve a site for each night that you are camping.

Vehicles are permitted to drop off camping equipment, but must be moved before the start of the race. Vehicles can also pickup camping equipment starting at 8:00am on Sunday.

Grills

Waukesha County does not permit grills in camping areas. However, there are lots of permanent grills in the park included two near the pavilion. You are welcome to use any of them.

Fresh Fruit Bar & Coffee

We will have a free fresh fruit bar from 10:00am - 2:00pm. There will be coffee throughout the day and night. If you would like to donate something to the fresh fruit bar, we would appreciate it. Just shoot us a message what you are bringing. Food and beverage is for athletes only.

T-shirts

Everyone who is registered by noon on June 10th will be guaranteed a gender specific, dry wick custom shirt. After that, we cannot guarantee shirts and they will only be available while online supplies last. The women's shirts run small.

Running at Night

At dusk, all runners must don a headlamp or running light along with a safety vest with red blinking lights on the front and back. We'll even give you a glow stick or two to help light up the course. If you are found on course without the required safety item, you will be disqualified and removed from the area.

Volunteers, Spectators & Family Members

All are welcome at the event, and can be on the course anytime. We only ask that you not run with athletes. Hey, we have all kinds of events scheduled throughout the day, so bring the entire family!
