JFPS 2020 Virtual Run
What is a virtual run? A virtual run is an event that you can run jog or walk from any location. Your route is your choice, it can be on a trail, in the park, on the beach, on a treadmill, at the gym, on a track, or around your neighborhood. When you have completed your run submit your results and share your race photos and videos with us on social media using #JFPS2020Virtual
Why virtual? We are all practicing safe physical distancing to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. APhA recognizes how important our mental and physical wellbeing is right now. A virtual run provides us the ability to exercise safely while also socially interacting and competing with our community (online). While in-person engagement is ideal, online interaction can be a healthy way to reconnect with friends, family, and interact with our pharmacist community.
When must I complete my run? For this event you must complete your 5K run from November 6th until November 14, anytime and anywhere.
What is RaceJoy? Race joy is an interactive app that will track you time via GPS. Check out more information Here.
Is there a specific way to track our time? Like most virtual races, timing is based on the honor system. You may track your time on RaceJoy, with an app on your phone, watch, or any fitness device of your choice.
How do I submit my time? You are not required to submit your time, but if you would like to appear on the online leaderboard, be recognized at the closing ceremony, as well as be able to access your finisher’s certificate, you need to submit your time. You can do this by navigating to the Results Page, through the results link Here, search for your name and add your time. Alternatively, you can use the RaceJoy app to automatically submit your time after your run or walk.
How do I print my race bib? When you receive your Registration Confirmation...Go to the bottom and you will see “Don’t forget to check out the virtual bib for your registration! You can view it and download it here:”
