WHO can run this?
This virtual race/challenge is for kids 12 and under only.
WHEN should I run this?
You can run this ANYTIME you desire, however, the results/challenge is open from February 20 - March 4. That is when you can submit your results. During that time, you can either run your distance all in one go or log different activities over the course of that week until you reach the "finish line."
WHERE should I run this?
That is 100% your choice. You can run outdoors, around your hours, at the park or even on a treadmill.
HOW should I run this?
Run any way that works for you! Please, follow social distancing precautions. If you’re outdoors, wear a mask, stay away from other people, don’t touch anything, don’t drive to a trailhead or park, stay near your home/neighborhood. Use your treadmill if that is an option for you!
In addition, you can run your distance all in one day/time or break it up into sections. You could run 1 mile a day until you reach the goal!
How do I report my TIME?
On the morning of February 20, 2021, this virtual results submission link will be active. You’ll be able to submit YOUR time and activities through that link until the end of the month. You'll receive an email on RACE DAY with the link as well. If you are splitting your race into multiple different runs, you can submit each one individually and each "milestones" along the way.
Click the link above or click "results" on the race website. There, you will see a button that says, "Submit virtual results." Click that button and follow the prompts to look up your registration and click "log activities." Then you'll be able to enter the date of the activity (run), the time and distance completed. When you click "submit" it will take a few seconds to be active and then you'll be able to edit activities as needed and see your progress.
Are TIMES verified?
No. For the virtual event, times reported are on the ‘honor system’.
WILL RESULTS be posted?
You bet! Starting the afternoon of February 20, preliminary results will be on the RESULTS page of the website. (This is the same link you will report your times/activities.)
Will participants be rewarded based on PERFORMANCE?
No, because participants are running in different locations, times, etc. we will not award anything based on performance. See next question regarding prizes!
Will there be any PRIZES?
YES – EVERYONE who registers for this event will be placed in a drawing for a $25 gift card from a local business. Winners will be announced on 2-21-21. One winner will be drawn for every five registrations! You have a 1 in 5 chance of winning $25. Winners will be contacted by email with information on your prize!
WHEN/HOW will I get my SWAG?
At registration, you have the option of requesting your swag to be mail to you or dropped off at our local Road Runner Sports! If you selected to have your swag mailed to you, it will be sent via USPS starting February 15. The last batch of packets will be mailed after registration closes, February 20.
If you selected to have your swag dropped off at Road Runners sports, it will be dropped off on February 20th and held there until March 4th. All packets that are NOT picked up will then be mailed on March 5th.
