4th Annual Shamwalk 5K Pubcrawl/Cause for Paws

This year will be supporting Cause for Paws 🐾 

What is Cause for Paws? They are a local organization that has several programs to help pets. 

When the city of Hutchinson took over the previous private humane society, they formed a volunteer group headed by Nancy Scott, director of planning, to raise private funds to build the present shelter. The new Hutchinson Animal Shelter opened in 2006.
Cause for Paws, Inc. was then formed to help support the shelter focusing on reducing pet overpopulation and euthanizations of healthy shelter animals, building a strong base of animal advocates, and ensuring the well-being of all cats and dogs in the community.
The joint projects with the City of Hutchinson to follow include the development of the spay/neuter STOP program, the establishment of the Hutchinson Dog Park, a van that transports animals to rescue organizations to reduce euthanizations, and the K-9 project to provide resources for K-9 officers.
Cause For Paws, Inc. board members are committed to continue the mission of supporting the Hutchinson Animal Shelter, helping animals, and maintaining partnerships that benefit our community.

Needless to say, they are doing a lot of good! This is a cause that is near and dear to our own Deb McConnell’s  heart.  Come have some fun and raise money for a good cause at the same time! If you have been before, you know it’s a fun time!☘️☘️☘️

11:00-12:00 meet  at Anchor Inn to eat if you want. 12:00-12:30 for drinks. We will leave there at 1:00.
