Description

This is a unique 10K run 650' below the earths surface in a salt mine. You will be running in complete darkness on uneven and loose salt surfaces. There are more then 70 turns on the course. Because it is a mine you have to wear a helmet and bring a light. We recommend using bike helmets as they have a chinstrap and the holes make it cool and easy to attach a light. But you can wear any ANSI approved hard hat that is not out of date.We reserve the right to approve all head gear. You must be at least 8 years old to run and all children 8 to 18 must run with a responsible adult. You may run or walk but we like the walkers to go early to give them enough time.

Please select a heat you want to run in. Heats are limited to the first 30 participates to sign up. If you sign up for a late heat and we experience some empty heats ahead of you, you will be moved up to an earlier heat and notified via email before race day.

Each participant will receive a Tee Shirt and a bib number. The first 200 people to sign up will get a medal.

You will need to be at the race site 15 minutes before your selected time to pickup your race packet. If you are late you may forfeit your race time and have to wait until the end of the day to run.

This race is a fund raiser for Strataca, The Kansas Underground Salt Museum. Processing fees and taxes applied to purchase. Taxes and Fees are added to ticket cost. Purchase is final no refunds.
