Be Our Hero

The Race will be held November 4 2017 9:00am in front of The City Teen Center. Be Our Hero Race is going to run with the help of the kids in Salina. The kids will be involved by decorating T-shirts, Medals, hand crafted prizes, set-up, packet pick-up, break-down, asking for sponsors and much more.

The race not only hopes to bring positive attention to Salina’s youth but also hopes to promote and get the community involved with the Down Town Area. We hope to achieve this by having our community have knowledge of down town restaurants by having a Food Garden.

The Food Garden will be available for runners to have a chance after the race to go into one area. In this area there will be different down town restaurants with food samples out for people to eat and relax. There will also be a bounce house for the kids, live DJ and The City (Teen City will be open) We also encourage people to walk down town and have access to the shops.

Packet pick up will be available November 4th at 7:30am until 8:30am. We look forward to seeing you! 

One hundred percent of the event’s proceeds will go directly toward local programs focused on helping Salina youth grow, learn and enjoy themselves while they use and develop their personal, intellectual and physical skills.

All Proceeds will go to SNG three established youth programs that are already making inroads toward its goals or promoting positive self-growth through academics and sports: The City, Xcel, and Salina Burn Track and Field
