Description
This race takes place through the historic Flint Hills of Dover, KS. It kicks off our annual Dover Heritage Days, an all day celebration of fun, food, a little shopping, and fireworks to finish the evening. The race has been created to honor Rob George and his passion for running. Rob was born and raised in Dover, Kansas. He was an avid runner and ran cross country for Cloud County Community College where he was a national competitor as well as an Academic All American. He loved riding his motorcycle and loved the mountains. All who knew Rob, loved Rob. Rob passed away in a motorcycle accident in 2017 but this race has been created to honor him.
This course is flat, with a few rolling hills. Approximately one mile of the race, will be run on a dirt road. The course will begin and end in Dover, home of America's favorite pie! It's a great scenic run, to experience the beauty of Dover, Kansas, in which kids and adults are both invited to participate! Don't miss out on our 37th annual Dover Heritage Day festival!
Please note, participants who register after June 7th are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
