Fathers Run For Families 5k

Participants in the Dad Care 2 5K Walk/Run will compete in a chip timed run or walk through scenic Sedgwick County State Park. The 5K starts at the Horseshoe Shelter, enjoy lake views as you run along the Horseshoe Lake, find adventure on a paved surface to the finish line. All participants receive a short sleeve race shirt and medal. Post-race food will be located inside the Horseshoe Building.

The objective of Dads Care Two is to empower Fathers to take a positive role in their children’s lives, and overcome misconceptions and biases placed on fathers by society.

To increase the number of fathers who are actively involved in the lives of their children. To decrease the number of children who car in custody of the state, to provide resources, information, and support for men who are seeking equal treatment from the social services and judicial system.
