WesBanco presents “The Sunshine Center Run 4 Families“

The Sunshine Center is a nonprofit family abuse prevention agency dedicated to healing the children and families in our community suffering from the effects of abuse. Services are provided for adult survivors and child victims who have been or are currently suffering from abuse. Due to COVID 19 our main fundraisers have been canceled and we operate with the help of grants, fundraisers and support from the community and without this support our doors could not be open.  

The Sunshine Center is hosting “Run 4 Families” virtual race.  A virtual race works exactly like any other running/walking race but the difference is participants will run their race length at any location such as a neighborhood, treadmill, track, trails or Even in the gym.  Registration will run from September 1 through September 30.  The virtual race must be run from October 1st through 23rd.   Once registered on RunSignup participants will receive an email on how to submit results. Participants should record their time through a device or app.  We encourage you to submit pictures to #thesunshinecenterrun4families

All proceeds from this race go directly to The Sunshine Center to help families and children in need. 

Each runner registered by midnight on Sept 28 will receive a t-shirt that must be picked up at The Sunshine Center 212 Steele Street.  Top runners in each race will receive a medal.  

First 100 participants registered will receive a pair of Bombas socks to be picked up at The Sunshine Center.
