Run For Another 5K and 10K

Thanks for supporting orphans in Uganda, Africa! All proceeds will go to the Orphan Relief Projects directed by Promise Kids A Future, Inc. Promise Kids A Future became a non-profit 501c3 in 2006 as a child placing agency in Georgetown, Kentucky. We received our Hague Accreditation through COA (Council On Accreditation) in 2014! As Director, I, Jill Baker had been on several mission trips to Uganda, Africa and after opening PKAF, knew that my heart was leading me to help the orphans in Uganda. We have developed the Orphan Relief Projects in order to help sponsor children with food, clothing, school supplies, and an education, along with opening a home for orphans. The Orphan Relief Projects are run purely on donations. I thank all of you for your prayers, your support and for helping promise one future at a time.

Runners will be able to view posted pictures, along the course of orphanage children and other orphans who are available to be sponsored for a monthly $40 fee for primary children and $60 for secondary children, through PKAF. As part of its Orphan Relief Projects, PKAF has arranged for over 75 sponsorships.

Parking will be in the Bluegrass Community & Technical College parking lot.

Please come to the registration tent for check-in and to receive your race bag.

October 15, 2022 Event Schedule

Registration 8:00- 8:45 a.m.

5K Run/Walk and 10K 9:00 a.m. and 9:05 a.m.

T-shirts for 10K and 5K pre-registration. Late registrants receive shirts if they are available the day of the event.

-Awards in the 10K for overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male and Female and individual awards for 1st place in each age group.

-Awards in the 5K overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Male and Female

Special Rules and Disqualification

Runners must wear their race bibs until awards ceremony is finished. Any runner who deviates from the course for any reason, receives assistance that would give them an unfair advantage over other runners or does not follow accepted guidelines, will be disqualified.

Inclement Weather

In the event there is inclement weather (tornados, flooding, thunderstorms), the race will be cancelled. There will be no refunds if the race is cancelled. Pre-registered runners will still receive a shirt and packet.

Dogs, Cats, Rollerblades, Bikes, and Skateboards will not be allowed.
