As future physical therapists, UK DPT advocates for wellness, fitness, health promotion, prevention, and management of disease and disability. As members of the American Physical Therapy Association, it is our goal to promote regular physical activity and exercise to enhance health and prevent disease. This year, we invite YOU to join in on our goal of health and wellness promotion!

All proceeds will go towards Samaritan's Touch, a non-profit student-organized physical therapy clinic run by UK DPT students as well as funding for the upcoming UK DPT graduates to prepare for the National Physical Therapy Board Exam.

Samaritan's Touch Pro Bono Clinic

The Samaritan's Touch clinic is a student-run free clinic that reaches an underserved population in Lexington, KY and the surrounding areas. It operates out of the Good Samaritan outpatient PT clinic twice weekly and is free of cost for all who seek services. Students in the UK DPT program evaluate and treat patients under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to both English speaking and non-English speaking patients who may be experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological health conditions. The clinic has been in operation since 2011 and continues to strive to provide the highest standard of care for our patients.

UK DPT Class of 2020

The University of Kentucky Doctor of Physical Therapy class 2020 is entering their third and final year of the program. Throughout the first two years, students have spent many hours in the classroom and have been involved in service activities at home and abroad, leadership positions, and professional development opportunities. Each student has also completed one clinical rotation and will complete three more rotations in various settings and locations in order to prepare them for their future as clinicians.
