CASA of Midwest Kentucky, Inc. has been advocating for child victims who find themselves entangled in the child welfare system when their parents can’t or won’t care for them. When the state steps in to protect a child's safety, a judge appoints a trained CASA volunteer to get to know the child’s situation and offer objective, informed recommendations about what services and outcomes are in his/her best interest. Our program currently has trained advocates serving children in Hopkins, Henderson, Crittenden, Union, Muhlenberg and Webster Counties. Over 600 children needed our services last year and we were able to help 130 of them!
Every child needs a hero, but abused children need superheroes.
We will host the CASA Superhero WALK this year at Mahr Park in Madisonville to ensure we can continue serving all children referred to our program. It is our hope that you will join us for a beautiful walk to bring awareness to "Child Abuse Prevention" and help us spread hope! This is a change from our previous years of a virtual race! We are so excited to be in-person this year!
